Late on August 20th, Jason, myself, and our friend Wil parked Jason’s tiny Honda Fit, full to the brim with music gear, outside of a condo in Tremblant, QC, about an hour and a half outside of Montreal. We had just arrived, after a long day of driving, to the last weekend-long Wanderlust Festival of this 2014 summer season. It was dark, we were exhausted, and we quickly found our way to sleep, not sure what to expect when we were to wake up to the festival in full swing, but I couldn’t sleep.
One of my favorite aspects of teaching is teaching to athletic teams… In my eyes, we are all athletes. Anyone who steps on a yoga mat is truly an athlete.
We built M.Power on six integral foundations that have guided us in creating this studio, and will continue to guide us every step along the way. Over the next few months I’d like to give you a little behind the scenes info on what inspired each foundation, and hope it will inspire you in some small way in the process…
I remember the first yoga class I attended. I felt so out of place next to all the people in their fancy yoga clothes on their personal mats with all the matching accessories. I, on the other hand, was wearing sweatpants, an over-sized t-shirt, and had to borrow the studio mat.
