This hybrid sequence is the perfect compliment to your Power Vinyasa Class, especially if you are looking for a new way to play your edge. Join Sarah Hatton for a practice that will begin with Yin Yoga; an introspective, slower – paced, meditative style of yoga used to drop the body into stillness while you work to quiet the mind. During this portion, these floor poses will be used to explore passive stretching, while each pose is held for three to five minutes releasing the fascia and connective tissues and allowing our bodies and minds the opportunity to open. We will then transition into the popular Yang style of class with an invigorating and energizing flow that is designed to support additional flexibility while continuing to build strength. Our time together will end in sweet surrender savasana, open and ready for new possibilities.
Sarah Hatton began her personal yoga journey in 2001 as a collegiate swimmer. Falling madly in love with the practice she started teaching in 2003. She has had the amazing good fortune to study with: John DiMinico, Suze Curtis, Amy Johnson, Adri Kyser, Kathryn Budig, Tiffany Cruikshank, Stacy Dockins & Philip Urso. Sarah is in the process of receiving her 1000hr from Tiffany Cruikshank in Yoga Medicine. She combines her Masters of Education from PENN, her love of this practice and her decade of experience in the Operating Room into classes and programs that focus on anatomic alignment, orthopedic yoga therapy principles, energetic awareness and a true love of life. She cannot wait to see you on the mat.
