M.Power Barre Teacher Training

Barre is a dynamic, effective and fun workout based on movements in dance, Pilates and yoga. Learn correct exercise alignment, choreography, biomechaniques, effective cueing, classroom management, and safe and powerful teaching techniques in this weekend immersion teacher training. We will also cover/review basic anatomy and physiology, learn how to use music to create safe and fun barre classes that focus on increasing strength, flexibility, stamina, dynamic stability and mindful movement.


This program is geared for everyone.  You do not have need to be a current yoga or Pilates teacher. No dance experience required.

Upon completion, students will have the skills to be able to teach various barre fomats including MPower classic barre & MPower cardio barre.

  • Anatomy & physiology of movement (for barre)
  • Format of barre classes (M.Power classic barre & M.Power cardio barre)
  • Choreography
  • Using props: hand weights, Pilates ball, bands, Pilates circle
  • Effective cueing
  • Music & tempo
  • Practice teaching
  • Coaching & feedback
  • Video followup teaching & feedback

Melisa Casses E-RYT is a certified yoga, E-RYT 500 and STOTT Pilates instructor.
