Backbending Moxie Session: “Heart So Full”

Find the key to your own heart this February through the physical and emotional benefits of a backbending practice. Things are about to heat up as we talk about this 4 letter word… L.O.V.E.
There is nothing simple about relationships, expressing how you feel, and sitting with vulnerability. A lot of these past love experiences get held in our bodies and can present as tension, movement patterns, or even injuries. If you’re already hot and bothered by the thought of backbending, rest assured – this practice is for all levels and revolves around creating a personal love mantra. Erica will guide you through alignment and strength based sequences to promote a healthy spine. Using this foundation and props, we’ll explore a range of backbends including Natarajasana (King Dancer) and Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel) variations while tapping into the psychological effects of these poses. With the fusion of intention setting, Prana or energetic work and asana, this Moxie session will offer a great introduction to M.Power’s upcoming Yoga Teacher Training. No matter where your heart is, get ready to feel all the feels.
