What led you to become a Yoga instructor?
After years of not truly knowing what I wanted to do with my life, and working in a job that was good but not what I loved day in and day out; I reflected on what really made me happy, and that is yoga. With a background in non-profit, helping people was very important to me and being a Yoga instructor melds together my passions of physical and mental wellness with the ability to make a difference in the lives of others.
What pose challenges you the most right now?
Forearm Stand and Handstand.
What is your favorite thing about teaching?
I love the ability to be creative with sequencing and watch students play their edge and try new things. It’s such a cool and rewarding moment when students are able to achieve a pose that they never were before.
Where would you most like to travel, and why?
I’d love to travel to Italy. Being Italian, I would love to go to where my ancestors originated from and learn more about the authentic culture.
Outside of teaching, what do you like to do for fun?
I love to cook, run, go hiking, go to concerts, try new restaurants and spend time with family and friends.
What is one thing about you that most people don’t know?
While I am an avid runner now, 5 years ago I hated running and couldn’t run a full mile at a time!
