M.Power’s 6 foundations each speak to me in a different way. The one that resonates with me the most is ‘Mastery of the Moment’.
In the past I used to find myself in a routine of always multi taking and not being fully present. My “to do list” seemed never ending and I would constantly think about what was on it, no matter where I was. I was missing out on genuine connections and conversations because my mind was in 5 different places at once.
Being mindful of ‘Mastery of the Moment’ has allowed me to unplug and truly focus on knowing that where I am right now is exactly where I am supposed to be. It is so easy to get caught up in life’s daily distractions. Even when I am at the gym or out on a run I have found myself checking my emails and social media during what is supposed to be my “me time.” Yoga has given me the opportunity to truly unplug from all of life’s distractions and focus on a body, mind and spirit connection in that current moment.
When you truly start living in the present moment you start to create genuine connections and realize what each moment in life has to offer. I have been able to see a positive shift in my life by carrying this foundation off my mat. It has been an ongoing practice for me, and I continue to work on staying focused on the present moment.
